WAR

Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another Inferior
Is finally and permanently discredited
And abandoned -
Everywhere is war -
Me say war.

That until there no longer
First class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes -
Me say war.

That until the basic human rights
Are equally guaranteed to all,
Without regard to race -
Dis a war.

That until that day
The dream of lasting peace,
World citizenship
Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion to be pursued,
But never attained -
Now everywhere is war - war.

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
that hold our brothers in Angola,
In Mozambique, South Africa
Sub-human bondage
Have been toppled,
Utterly destroyed -
Well, everywhere is war -
Me say war.

War in the East,
War in the West,
War up North,
War down South -
War - War -
Rumours of war.
And until that day,
The African continent
Will not know peace,
We Africans will fight - we find it necessary -
And we know we shall win
As we are confident
In the victory

Of good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!

REDEMPTION SONG

Old pirates, yes, they rob I;
Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit.
But my hand was made strong
By the 'and of the Almighty.
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly.
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
'Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
'Cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it's just a part of it:
We've got to fulfil the book.

Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
'Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs…

ZIMBABWE

Every man gotta right to decide his own destiny,
And in this judgement there is no partiality.
So arm in arms, with arms, we'll fight this little struggle,
'cause that's the only way we can overcome our little trouble.

Brother, you're right, you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We gon' fight (we gon' fight), we'll have to fight (we gon' fight),
We gonna fight (we gon' fight), fight for our rights!

Natty dread it in-a ( zimbabwe );
Set it up in ( zimbabwe );
Mash it up-a in-a zimbabwe ( zimbabwe );
Africans a-liberate ( zimbabwe ), yeah.

No more internal power struggle;
We come together to overcome the little trouble.
Soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionary,
'cause I don't want my people to be contrary.

NATURAL MYSTIC

there's a natural mystic blowing through the air if you listen carefully now you will hear this could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last many more will have to suffer many more will have to die - don't ask me why   things are not the way they used to be I won't tell you no lie one and all have to face reality now 'tho I've tried to find the answer to all the questions they ask 'tho I know it's impossible to go living through the past don't tell no lie   there's a natural mystic blowing through the air can't keep them down if you listen carefully now you will hear

400 YEARS

400 years

And it's the same -
The same philosophy
I've said it's four hundred years;
Look, how long

And the people they still can't see.
Why do they fight against the poor youth of today?
And without these youths, they would be gone -
All gone astray

Come on, let's make a move:
I can see time - time has come,
And if-a fools don't see
I can't save the youth:
The youth is gonna be strong.
So, won't you come with me;
I'll take you to a land of liberty
Where we can live - live a good, good life
And be free.

Look how long: 400 years,
Way too long!
That's the reason my people - my people can't see.
Said, it's four hundred long years -

Give me patience - same philosophy.

It's been 400 years,
Wait so long!
How long? 400 long, long years.
